8 year old poem

When i was about 8 years olgd i wrote a poem. I loved writing at that age for some reason. I had my own little notebook! I remember writing about my once favorite animal, a lizard! I remember I was SO proud of it!!!! I just resently found that notebook. So I'll share with you my 8 year old poem.


One day I was walking
out in the nice warm sun
I saw a snake slither by
I saw a crab walk on by
And then I saw a lizerd.

I didn't have any pets
not even one
so I take the crab home
and mom doesn't even notice
until......

AH BOOM SCREAM
I run into my mom's room and theres my pet crab

The next day
Sunny and bright
I take the pet snake home
and mom doesnt even notice
until.......

AH BOOM SCREAM
I run into my mom's room
and theres my pet snake

The next day
Happy and sunny
I take the pet lizard home
and mom noticed!

I tell her about this lizard
how great it can be
I'll keep it in it's cage
and never let it free

So mom lets me be...
But what will dad think.........
